We used the Genesis Minimum child theme as the foundation for this WordPress website. It is a very simple design that is being used by a local writer to promote her services as well as her new book being published in the fall of 2012. A manual installation of WordPress was done to enhance security to the site as well as installation and configuration of needed plug-ins. Customization work included design of a favicon, a custom header, areas for the client to promote upcoming events such as book signings and reviews of her book, and a blog page where she can communicate with her website readers. Overall, it is an uncomplicated design that fits the personality of the writer.
