Genesis Beginner’s Guide

If you are thinking about trying the Genesis Framework for WordPress or have already bought it and are struggling with using it, the free resource guide from StudioPress should help you.

The guide covers all the basics such as the advantages of Genesis Framework over other frameworks or themes you could invest your money in.  It also includes a discussion on child themes and explains how to install and set up Genesis and child themes.

Once the Genesis Framework has been installed, the guide explains the variety of settings available as well how to use and configure widget areas.  In addition, it describes the different Genesis templates and a variety of plug-ins that are available specifically for the Genesis Framework.

Additional resources, including the WordPress codex, are linked to in this guide.  I think you will find it very useful.  I have used Genesis Framework for some time now and have gone through all the support tutorials but still found little tidbits of information that were helpful to me, especially related to  SEO settings in not only Genesis but also the individual pages and posts.
